When three students with cello, violin and drums stood in the pedestrian zone of Leipzig for the first time 20 years ago and excitedly played their self-written songs in front of an audience, no one could have guessed that this would be the beginning of a long, successful journey for one of Germany's most extraordinary bands. The three young men, who were already performing under the name Stilbruch at the time, regularly attracted large crowds of people for years, who surrounded them at their street concerts in Leipzig, Dresden, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, but also Milan, Paris and Venice.
The huge response led to stage appearances all over Germany, to which the large fan base that Stilbruch had acquired on the street flocked. Television appearances, chart placements and support appearances for artists such as Gianna Nannini, Gregor Meyle, Nena and Maschine marked their path and yet they followed only one maxim - no compromises in music, the constant unification of classical and rock paired with clever German lyrics and full commitment on stage for their audience.
Now it's time to celebrate. On August 30, 2025, 8 p.m. in the great hall of the Leipzig Gewandhaus with the great Leipzig Symphony Orchestra and the new album "Das wird groß" as well as the best songs from 20 years and 7 studio albums.
