"GUNDERMANN", directed by Andreas Dresen, became an arthouse hit and won 6 LOLAs, the German Film Award. A film that was universally acclaimed by the media, deeply moving, with a soundtrack that gets under your skin. As the lead actor, Alexander Scheer was awarded the Bavarian Film Award and the LOLA. A busy singer and musician himself, he received the German Record Critics' Award for his interpretation of the songs in the feature film and, incidentally, climbed to a place in the top 20 of the German album charts.

Scheer, who already fascinated audiences as Keith Richards in the feature film “The Wild Life” and delighted audiences as David Bowie at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus, immerses himself deeply in the cosmos and songs of Gerhard Gundermann. He explores them, unfolds an almost magical intensity “with everything he has” and gives it back in full force.

A band was formed especially for the film premiere, not knowing that it would lead to a band project that is now a concert highlight and festival event with a rapidly growing audience appeal throughout Germany. The first live album, "Immer wieder Nie Genug", is now out, which shows that the band never stands still, but develops enough material to expand the repertoire in a delightful way. Dancing is allowed (too)!
