In terms of content, there is German rap with anti-capitalist analysis without raising a moral finger.
Provocative social criticism without compromise against white German comfort and resignation. The delivery is pure rage, the sound is trappy and modern. New Wave. Apsilon casually comes around the corner and places basketball references alongside criticism of racism, cleverly stringing together German idioms while breaking them and dribbling with the German language.
His EP "Guest" takes some of the experiences of the generation of guest workers and spits them out again as contradictions between pain and hope. It deals with the false promises of hospitality that were made to guest workers and shows the defiance of a younger generation that does not want to integrate into the bulwark of people, capital and contempt for humanity.
Apsilon is not know-it-all rap, not street 2.0 and does not glorify drugs, blind hedonism or contempt for women.
At the same time, he does not exclude himself, but acts as part of this young, promising, broken society that lives in and out of contradictions
wants to create something of his own, socially and musically, despite all the disappointments of previous generations.
