Last September, Stone Baroness' sixth studio album. Recorded in a remote cabin on the border between Pennsylvania and New York, it marks an important change in the band's working methods: singer and guitarist John Baizley and his colleagues produced the ten songs themselves, unlike their predecessors. Because in the metal band's 20-year career, there has always been one constant: Baroness couldn't repeat themselves, they had to keep reinventing their sound to see where it would lead. So this time Baroness put themselves behind the controls. This reflects Stone with its direct liveliness. This is of course also evident in the choice of title: For the first time, Red Album, BlueRecord, Yellow & Green, Purple and Gold & Grey not a color, but a material. But her DIY ethos has remained.
