With their timelessly rousing rock anthems and soulful ballads, both have long been part of the Olympus of music history: Bonnie Tyler and Chris Norman. They both have a lot in common - but one thing in particular: they love singing live in front of an audience. On July 11th and 12th, 2025, the two can be seen together on the stages in Halle and Dresden. In a two-hour power show, the two of them naturally have all the hits in their repertoire: from "Holding Out for a Hero" (Tyler) and "Living Next Door to Alice" (Norman) to "Midnight Lady" (Norman) and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (Tyler).
Tyler and Norman belong to the generation of artists who still find it a great pleasure to perform live on stage. One thing is certain: they can both still do it. It's like good wine - the older the better."
Tyler emphasizes: "I still enjoy performing, even after all this time! After all, I only got into show business for one reason: because I wanted to sing live! I love being on stage with my great band. It's pure pleasure for me, it makes me feel young and happy!"
Bonnie Tyler, who grew up in Skewen, a quiet village near Swansea, Wales, has used her talent, stamina and power to become one of rock's most outstanding artists, achieving chart success around the world. Known for her distinctive smoky voice, she has an impressive list of hit singles including "Total Eclipse of the Heart", "It's a Heartache", "Holding Out for a Hero", "Lost in France", "More Than a Lover" and "Bitterblue".
Tyler has received numerous awards for her outstanding performances, including a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Singer and Best Rock Musician, the RSH Gold Award, the Echo and the Golden Europa as the most successful artist. In her career spanning over 50 years, she has performed on stages all over the world. She has also received great recognition for her recent albums "Rocks and Honey" and "Between The Earth and the Stars". She released her new live album "Bonnie Tyler - In Berlin" in spring 2024. Tyler is currently working on new music and recently published her very first memoir "Straight from the Heart", which is available from Coronet Books. In May 2025, she will be on her "Just Live" tour with 14 concerts in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
Chris Norman, born on October 25, 1950 in Redcar, England, has been successful as a singer, songwriter and musician for decades. He is best known as the frontman of the band Smokie. In the 1970s, he and Smokie enjoyed international chart success with hits such as "Living Next Door to Alice," "If You Think You Know How to Love Me," and "Lay Back in the Arms of Someone." Smokie's catchy mix of rock and pop, combined with Norman's distinctive, rough voice, shaped the band's sound.
After his time with Smokie, Chris Norman started a successful solo career. Particularly noteworthy is his hit "Midnight Lady", which reached number 1 in the charts in several countries, including Germany, in 1986. This ballad, written by Dieter Bohlen, established Norman as a solo artist, especially in German-speaking countries. His musical style includes rock, pop and ballads, characterized by emotional depth and timeless melodies. Norman is still active today, performing worldwide and releasing new music, which underlines his continued popularity and relevance in the music scene.
