Information about the event

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
The original production by Sasson/Sautter with Deborah Sasson and Uwe Kröger
Music: Deborah Sasson
Text: Jochen Sautter
Music Director and Arrangements: Ryan MartinThe major touring production returns with a top-class star cast and a completely new musical arrangement.A real musical highlight!
After the outstanding success of the 2022/23 tour, the production was awarded the Golden Sun 2023 for best musical by Sonnenklar TV for the quality of the actors, the music and the spectacular stage design. World star Deborah Sasson was once again won over for the role of Christine. Audiences and the press everywhere are celebrating the singer's interaction with Germany's number 1 musical star, Uwe Kröger, who will once again take on the role of the Phantom. Since 2010, "The Phantom of the Opera" by the writing team Deborah Sasson and Jochen Sautter has captivated audiences on the stages of Europe. The forced break of the Corona pandemic was used creatively to completely rework the production musically. The successful British musician Ryan Martin was brought on board for this, who has composed and arranged music for Cirque du Soleil, America's Got Talent, Netflix, BBC, ABC, CBS and Fox USA, among others.

The impressive stage design comes to life both from the effective, three-dimensional video projections of the internationally acclaimed multimedia artist Daniel Stryjecki and from the grandiose stage elements built by Michael Scott of the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

This new production, which was originally created to mark the 100th anniversary of the novel "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra" written by Gaston Leroux in 1910, is one of the most successful touring musicals in Europe. The production stands out from all previous musical interpretations of the literary material by sticking closer to the novel and incorporating well-known opera quotations in parts of the music composed by Sasson.

The role of Christine is played by the internationally acclaimed Boston soprano and Echo Klassik award winner Deborah Sasson. Her multifaceted and powerful voice is perfect for this mixture of opera and musical. The Phantom is played by Uwe Kröger, who has won the hearts of audiences since his breakthrough in the role of Death in the world premiere of Elisabeth. He has played the leading roles in the world premieres of Rebecca, Mozart, The Visit of the Old Lady, Heidi and in the German-language premieres of Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Doctor Dolittle, The Addams Family and Napoleon in London's West End. Now he is taking on the role of the Phantom, feared by the world and torn inside, in this production.

In addition, a large ensemble of selected singers, dancers and actors from German-speaking countries will take part.
