Dota ist wieder da, mit neuen Songs, ein neues Kapitel, das sich perfekt in die Reihe ihrer bisherigen Alben einreiht, aber eben doch neu, als wäre eine bisher unbekannte Zutat im Songlabor aufgetaucht.
Schön ist: Es könnte genauso die erste DOTA-Platte ever sein. Man vermisst nichts, was man an Dota mag, aber die Musik ist noch minimalistischer, hüpfiger – die Erwachsenen würden sagen: kontrastreicher.
Die Texte gehen noch direkter ins Herz der Finsternis, sind noch hingebungsvoller suchend, auch im Unklaren noch klarer. Vielleicht ist es auch ein Produkt ihrer Beschäftigung mit der Lyrik Mascha Kalékos, deren musikalischer Umsetzung sie in den letzten drei Jahren zwei Alben gewidmet hat.
