Psychology professor Gary Johnson leads a rather uneventful life at university, only his new part-time job at the New Orleans Police Department provides some variety: as a supposed killer, he serves as a decoy to put his clients behind bars. Gary shows surprising talent in thinking up and embodying tailor-made killer personalities for each of his clients. For Gary's first meeting with the attractive Madison, who wants to have her violent husband killed, he thinks up the character of the hardened killer Ron. But suddenly things get complicated: he really likes Madison and for the first time Gary tries to save someone from prison instead of having them arrested. When Madison actually falls in love with the cool and sexy Ron - alias Gary - their hot affair triggers a disastrous chain reaction. Because Madison hasn't put all her cards on the table yet either...
