He thoroughly shakes up the central beliefs of western "civilization" and exposes so-called constraints to laughter as collective fictions. With surprising comparisons, he seduces the audience to a change of perspective - to a different view of the world, of the future, of the mirror, and of uncomfortable truths. Rether's LOVE is tragic, funny, painful, contagious: the constantly mutating program with the same title causes lasting dissatisfaction with simple explanations and encourages people to think and act for themselves. For up to three and a half hours, the cabaret artist passionately pleads for enlightenment and compassion, against double standards and consumer-oriented indifference: change is possible - if we want it.
