About the stage show:
Since its founding in 2013, the Theater Lichtermeer has been committed to the new adaptation of great children's literature and has brought a well-known TV series, "Jan and Henry", to the stage for the first time.
This is not a classic puppet theater. Much like in the good old Muppets movies, puppets and people come together to form an acting ensemble in which live acting, singing, dancing and music are performed in front of a large, versatile stage set.
In this stage show, Jan and Henry live in their earthen cave under an apartment building.
You know and love the noises coming from the house above you. One day a new caretaker moves in. From then on, many of the beloved noises disappear. Jan and Henry investigate like detectives... Jan and Henry - on a musical mission, for the first time on a theater stage, in a funny and exciting story with lots of music.
About Jan & Henry and Martin Reinl:
The meerkat brothers Jan & Henry are usually kept awake every night by a new, unknown noise. With a lot of curiosity and imagination they try to solve every riddle. This creates the funniest stories.
Puppet father Martin Reinl (Puppenstars/RTL, Woozle Goozle/SuperRTL, Zimmer frei/WDR) is passionate about his work. He has received numerous awards for his creativity, including the children's media awards Goldener Spatz, Der weiße Elefant and Emil, as well as several Grimme Prize nominations.
