With an average of 80 concerts a year, the Jazzrausch Bigband is one of the most successful big bands in the world. At its concerts in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, it brings jazz fans and dance enthusiasts together with "powerful sound, groove and enormous stage presence" (FAZ) like no other comparable ensemble currently - groove with brains, electronic music with blowers, jazz in a frenzy.
Today, more than ever, the Jazzrausch Bigband is the pigeonhole for what doesn't fit into any other pigeonhole. And everyone, the musicians and the audience, enjoy tearing down boundaries with joy. The music of the Jazzrausch Bigband, it seems, fulfills many desires in this context: the desire of club-goers for something more authentic, handmade, fresh and original. And the desire of jazz and classical music listeners for more oomph, entertainment, great sound and a fat groove.
