He was discovered on YouTube by the later piano professor. He became a junior student at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and has participated in numerous national and international piano competitions to date. In addition to his musical career, he studies international business and music and works as a presenter for Toggo and ZDF.
Louis Philippson's debut album, "Exposition," will be released on February 14, 2025. It combines his original compositions with new, colorful arrangements of songs from a wide variety of genres. He skillfully combines poetic piano versions of "OMG" by the K-pop band NewJeans with
a dynamic arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto, creates elegiac piano versions of melodies from Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand, and plays anime classics such as "A Town with an Ocean View" or "Lover's Oath" on the grand piano. From the end of November 2024, Louis Philippson can be seen live on the Night of the Proms tour, and from April 8, 2025, he will be on a solo tour with the new album.
