Information about the event

The pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi was born on 23 November 1955 in Turin
Perhaps it was his mother, an amateur pianist, who first introduced him
came into contact with music and thus laid the foundation for his later
brilliant career. He studied music at the Conservatory of Turin
and at the Conservatory of Milan. Due to his talent, he received a
Scholarship for the Tanglewood Music Festival, where he won the
American minimalism. He is a composer and artist,
who now feels at home in many genres. He composes for ballet,
the cinema and the theater as well as numerous pieces for orchestra and ensemble.
With “Le Onde” [The Waves] (1996), his first solo album, Ludovico
Einaudi received the undivided attention of the piano world. He followed this up with his
next releases, “Eden Roc” (1999), “I giorni” (2001) and “Diario Mali”
(2003). On his next studio album “Una mattina”, released in 2004,
Einaudi's music is more concentrated and introspective, while on the
following album “Divenire”. Both records, which have already topped the classical charts
made it into the pop charts for the first time.
The film music he wrote in 2002 for the remake of “Doctor Zhivago”
was awarded at the New York Film Festival. It didn’t take long until
Ludovico Einaudi began to perform in increasingly important concert halls.
During extensive world tours he did not stop writing new music.
The album “Elements”, released in 2015, was created “from the desire to start anew
and to go other ways.” In the following three years, the associated
Touring the most important pop arenas in the world as well as the most prestigious
classical concert halls, including a concert at Derby Park in Hamburg.
In February and March 2025, Ludovico Einaudi will visit Germany again
this time with a large-scale arena tour that includes eight concerts. In Cologne,
Hannover, Mannheim, Munich, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Dortmund and Hamburg will be
the opportunity to listen to the sounds of the Italian star composer.
