It was a good eight years ago when Max Giesinger burned himself into the memory of the music world as "The Boy Who Runs". The album title is still programmatic, the man is much more on the road than at home - on foot on the way through Hamburg, alone on foreign continents, with his boys on big stages. Max has played over 800 concerts in the last decade, getting to know Germany in all its facets. And his audience, whose intense proximity is important to him. He lives from them.
“Menschen” is the start of a new album that will be released next year. With pieces that are reminiscent of a road trip. A trip that is not linear, unplanned, with stops along the way. With sounds that Max has never heard and lyrics that go deep. Max is the tour guide of this trip.
"It's crazy how differently we tick," says Max, "everyone sees the world from their own perspective, it's as if there were eight billion versions of the earth." But despite this, Max has also discovered that we are united by the same starting point. "We all dream of the best version of ourselves, we work on it, we fail and hope and learn a little more about who we are every day," he says. And yet we are always comparing ourselves with others. "And that applies universally, to everyone in the world. I find that fascinating."
Therefore, the new album is not just a collection of new songs, but a timeless appeal to humanity, combined with the invitation to accept yourself and others with all your faults and strengths. What could be better than celebrating the shared experience at one of his concerts? "Menschen" is a road trip on which you should definitely accompany Max Giesinger.
