MELE's songs have an above-average number of these moments, which is certainly an explanation for why some of them have been streamed millions of times. Or why she has already played support for artists such as OK Kid, Grossstadtgeflüster, KLAN or Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys and performed at major festivals such as Southside, Deichbrand or Open Flair. She is currently working on her debut album, which is planned for summer 2024.

MELE writes lyrics that sound like they were overheard somewhere between alcohol-fueled conversations at shared flats, nighttime escapades in the streets of the big city and diary-like fragments of thoughts in which you don't have to hide your most intimate worries and desires. She sings with a voice that is sonorous and pleasantly calm, casual and strangely effortless - just like someone you're talking to would speak. Because that's exactly how her songs feel: They aren't forced upon you, but pick you up where you are. With lyrics that are as true to life as they are humorous, extremely casual but never aloof, straightforward and always with a good dose of self-irony, MELE manages to capture the zeitgeist, this fleeting thing. This also applies to the productions: Located at the interface between leftfield and German pop, clubby electronic influences and a clear penchant for rap, her tracks develop addictive potential almost immediately.
