When Moncrieff sings, superstars like Elton John and Adele also like to listen. The former celebrated the Irishman on his radio show "Rocket Hour", and Moncrieff has already performed as a background singer with Adele. Anyone who knows "Like I Do", "Serial Killer" (with JUDGE) or the love song "Warm" will not be surprised by such recognition. Chris Breheney, Moncrieff's real name, is a stunning singer and songwriter. His alternative pop is influenced by soul and blues, but also plays with many other elements. Together with his expressive voice, this mixture is finding more and more enthusiastic listeners.
Since he appeared on the scene in 2017 with "Symptoms", Moncrieff has been busy releasing more singles. In 2019, the first EP "The Early Hurts" was released with the tracks "Ghost", "Like I Do", "With All Due Respect - Like I do Reprise", "I Don't Know Why", "Villains" and "Guns & Bibles". In 2020, "The Class Of 2020" followed with "PLAYLOUD", "AMERICA", "Sad and Horny", "Dance" and "in my room" (demo). Anyone who listens through the singer-songwriter's discography quickly notices how varied and imaginative it is. The palette ranges from gospel choirs ("Warm") to electronic beats ("PLAYLOUD"). Some compositions give you goosebumps ("I Don't Know Why" or "Warm"), others inspire you to dance ("Dance"). Each song is carried by Moncrieff's voluminous soulful voice.
