Nicola, founder, author and producer of the Berlin band Laing, only now without, only now solo. She has reached peaks and experienced success. Top ten singles, sold-out houses, Eurovision participation, Tiktok trends, the gentle stroke of the soul: Laing have been there. Nicola Rost was in the middle of it all, but always also part of a band, a complex stage concept, a costume quartet. She is now shedding all these protective and alienating layers.
What remains: reduction to the maximum. Dancing synthpop. A voice through which the light can sometimes be spread to all corners of the world, sometimes focused precisely and burning hotly on individual moments, moments in life, passions.
What it will be: a cone of light instead of a gala evening. A new closeness instead of a multi-voiced staging.
