Acid King is a stoner doom band from San Francisco. It was founded in 1993 by Lori S. (singer and guitarist), Joey Osbourne (drummer) and Peter Lucas (bassist). Since then, the band has recorded five studio albums and three EPs (with changing line-ups). The group's music is classified as stoner doom. Influenced by traditional doom metal and psychedelic rock, Acid King's music is characterized by slow, low-pitched and heavily distorted guitar riffs, accompanied by the singer's distinctive, "hypnotic" voice.
