AFROB - 25 Jahre Afrob Jubiläumstour 2024

It was almost exactly 25 years ago that Afrob rocked the local rap scene. In March 1999, “Reimemonster” was the first single from his debut album “Rolle mit HipHop”, and it was exactly that: a monster track. What followed was a career that was second to none: ten studio albums – if you count the two collaboration records with Samy Deluxe under the name ASD – and the Godfather of German Rap can demonstrate a quarter of a century of realness. Afrob has been on stage for 25 years and still represents hip hop like he did on the first day. He is as real as can be. He has helped shape the history of the game and is always open to new sounds. He is soulful, he is dirty, opinionated and tolerant, committed and relaxed, serious and funny, laid back and active. Everything in its time. His latest record “King without Land” is the same. First hard beats and reduced tracks, then wide-ranging synth fields or a choir singing by the fantastic singer Alex Prince. Over this thunder Afrob's well-known, well-dosed rap outbursts or classic feature tracks. Afrob still sees what he does as a creative craft, and today even more so, and because he can do everything, he does everything. His career is as diverse as hip hop itself. This will be celebrated on stage in the autumn. Because he has always remained honest and authentic over the years, Afrob is guaranteed to deliver a great sound, and his stage shows are legendary.
