The Original Don Cossack Choir Serge Jaroff was probably the most famous choir in the world and was for almost six decades from 1921 to 1979. After a long break, the choir can now be heard again under the direction of Wanja Hlibka, formerly Serge Jaroff's youngest soloist, with undiminished popularity in the major concert halls and cathedrals in Europe and, since 2007, also in the Far East.
It is remarkable that the choir is received with the same euphoria and enthusiasm in all countries and foreign cultures, which confirms once again that music can unite people and nations, even if the language is not understood by everyone. The way the songs are interpreted, as well as the vocal abilities of the singers, who without exception also appear as soloists, also guarantee that the typical sound characteristics of this choir are preserved. Serge Jaroff's sixty years of artistic work are thus continued in an authentic and inimitable way.
