Today the magic dream tree has grown the dream leaf for the children with the story of Mimmelitt, the city rabbit. Together with Moosmutzel, the forest spirit girl, Mimmelitt starts singing the dream leaf. The two have barely greeted the sun with their morning exercise when the big, fat cat Leopold is there. He doesn't want to be alone tonight because a squeaking secret is on the way! An iron spirit! He has heard terrible shuddering sounds. Pff, Mimmelitt can't figure out the secret, yes! But the magic dream tree and the children have to help. Then the time has come: In the middle of the starry night, the terrible squeaking comes ever closer. After a great shock, it turns out that the squeaking secret is Knight Adelbert, a very old, rusty weather vane. He wants nothing more than a bit of lubricating oil, paint and a roof, oh! An adventurous rescue operation begins. Will Mimmelitt and the friends of the Dream Magic Tree join forces to make Adelbert’s dream come true?

In 1978, Reinhard Lakomy and Monika Ehrhardt developed a new genre of children's entertainment - story songs. This enchanting mixture of radio play, rock ballad and children's song has resulted in a total of fifteen radio play stories to date (including "The Raindrop Paule Platsch", "The Dream Magic Tree", "The Blue Ypsilon"). These have influenced generations of children for over 40 years now and have made the DREAM MAGIC TREE a true success story, with 5 million records sold to date.

The story songs were staged as an interactive children's theater. The popular stories can be experienced live with the REINHARD LAKOMY ensemble and have been successfully performed in various shows on German-speaking stages for years.
