For the hard-hearted and stingy Ebenezer Scrooge, Christmas is nothing but a waste of money and time. He angrily turns down the invitation of his nephew Alfred, and calls his employee lazy when he asks if he can leave the office a little early on Christmas Eve. That same evening, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner Jacob Marley, who advises him to change his life and prophesies that if he continues to be so cold-hearted, he will have to pay dearly for it after his death. Before he leaves, the ghost announces three more ghosts will be coming that night.
The first ghost reminds the bitter old man of the past Christmases with his master Fezziwig. Scrooge sees his great love Belle again and also how she leaves him because of his pursuit of more and more money. The second ghost shows him the poor but warm-hearted present Christmas with his underpaid employee Bob Cratchit, who lacks the money for the therapy of his sick son Tiny Tim. They also pay a visit to the happy celebration of his nephew Alfred's family, to which Scrooge would have been invited. Finally, the third ghost takes him into the future, which will be anything but rosy if his cold heart is not finally softened.
Charles Dickens' classic in a new guise with original, exciting and funny characters. On stage, a crazy ghost, a talking lantern and a singing window ensure lots of fun and great entertainment. The great music for the piece, which is guaranteed to get stuck in your head, was written by Michael Schanze.
