Seine Spurensuche führt ihn an entlegene Orte wie den ostafrikanischen Inselstaat Madagaskar, zum norwegischen Spitzbergen im Arktischen Ozean und nach Mexiko. Mit jedem einzelnen Schritt, mit jeder Reise, mit jedem Abenteuer kommt er der herbeigesehnten Lösung immer näher, bis er schließlich entdeckt, was diese scheinbar unterschiedlichen Orte miteinander verbindet. Am Ende findet er die Antwort, die seinem achtjährigen Ich gefehlt hat...
