Ein neues Schuljahr beginnt an der Clearwater High – doch Ruhe kehrt für Carag (Emile Chérif), Brandon (Johan von Ehrlich), Holly (Lilli Falk) und Lou (Sophie Lelenta) damit noch lange nicht ein. Das an die Schule angrenzende Naturschutzgebiet, also die Heimat der Gestaltwandler, steht vor einer ziemlich ungewissen Zukunft. Carags einstiger Mentor Andrew Milling (Oliver Masucci) verfolgt nämlich einen gefährlichen Plan: Er will den Wald rund um das Internat veräußern. Gemeinsam mit Brandon, Holly und Lou stellt sich der Puma-Wandler also gegen das drohende Unheil. Doch der Gegner bleibt ihnen stets ein paar Schritte voraus – ein Spion unter den Schülern spielt ihm nämlich geheime Informationen zu. Unerwartet bietet schließlich die Schneewölfin Tikaani (Olivia Sinclair) den Freunden ihre Unterstützung an. Ihre Hilfe könnte tatsächlich entscheidend sein für die Zukunft des Waldes.
