+ SPECIAL GUESTS
With their uniquely groovy sound, which blends metal, sludge, beatdown, and metalcore, Malevolence has been shaking up the international metal world since 2010. On their three albums to date, the band has developed a sound that has earned them equal respect within both the hardcore and metal scenes, and is celebrated by the international music press for its heaviness and brutality. Following international support tours for bands such as Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Counterparts, and many more, as well as their first headline tours in the UK, Malevolence are now embarking on a European headline tour, something many fans have long overdue. In autumn 2025, the Brits will be coming to Germany for five shows and will feature exciting special guests.
Guitarists Josh Baines and Konan Hall became friends in Sheffield in 2005. Together with Wilkie Robinson (bassist), Charlie Thorpe (drums), and Alex Taylor (vocals), they founded the band Malevolence in 2010, releasing their first demo in 2011. In 2013, the band signed to Siege of Amida Records and released their debut album, "Reign of Suffering." Malevolence then toured Europe supporting Dying Fetus and America with Kublai Khan and Jesus Piece. "Self Supremacy" followed in 2017 as their second album via Beatdown Hardwear Records and, alongside a tour with Despised Icon, landed the band their first appearance at the Download Festival. After a tour with Darkest Hour and Unearth, as well as a UK tour supporting Knocked Loose, Malevolence founded their own label, MLVLTD, in 2019 and subsequently toured Australia in spring 2020 supporting Terror. The EP "The Other Side" was released in 2020, featuring Knocked Loose singer Bryan Garris on the song "Keep Your Distance." The song recently surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify, marking Malevolence's most successful track to date. At the beginning of 2022, the band signed with Nuclear Blast and announced their third album, "Malicious Intent," with the single "On Broken Glass." It was released in May 2022. "The Agression Sessions," a split EP with Thy Art Is Murder and Fit For An Autopsy, followed in 2023. Following the single "Trenches" (2024), "If It's All The Same To You" in March 2025 further demonstrated Malevolence's versatile metal sound with a driving hardcore vibe and heavy riffs in the style of NWOAHM. The song also announced the release of their new album “Where Only Truth Is Spoken,” which will be released on June 20th.
