Hardly any other piece of music is as present in children's rooms as Prokofjev's musical fairy tale, which gives each character its own instrument. With over 550 performances, it has long since become a puppet theatre classic in Leipzig. Wilfried Reach has been dancing the wolf for 20 years and over 600 performances. He brings the puppet theatre classic to life in a quirky, energetic and enchantingly poetic way, and not only the young audience members elicit many a delighted and spooky outcry.
Reach works hard and whirls, makes the puppets dance, sprinkles in little slapstick interludes, gives everything for his audience. The >good Sergej will have to search for a long time for a better communicator of his work. (Leipziger Volkszeitung)
