Die 1950 in Detroit geborene Suzi Quatro gehörte in den 1970er Jahren – vor allem in Europa – zu den erfolgreichsten Rockmusikerinnen. Sie wuchs in einer musikalischen Familie auf und hatte bereits im Alter von acht Jahren ihren ersten Bühnenauftritt, gemeinsam mit ihrem Vater.
Auch nach über 55 Jahren wird die kleine Frau mit der großen Bassgitarre des Musizierens nicht müde und geht weiterhin weltweit auf Livetourneen.
Suzi ist niemals untätig, sie muss unterhalten, sie muss kreieren und sie muss kommunizieren. Es ist die Luft, die sie atmet… eine wahre Künstlerin. Ihr berühmtes Zitat sagt alles: „I will retire when I go on stage, shake my ass, and then there is silence.“
