The Peace Cats – a tribute to the songs of Cat Stevens

“The Peace Cats” is an impressive homage to one of the most important singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s: Cat Stevens. Hardly any other artist has produced so many distinctive global hits with his voice in the folk and soft rock genres, all of which still enjoy cult status today and are now undoubtedly considered evergreens.

Four musicians around the Karlsruhe singer and guitarist Tunc Süzer have made it their task to interpret Cat Stevens' songs in an acoustic guise. On the one hand very close to the original, on the other hand with loving, fresh variations, without even remotely mistaking the character of the song. Tunc Süzer sings Cat Stevens' hits with devotion and remarkable authenticity and at the same time manages to add his own touch to each line.

Visitors can expect a journey back in time to the world of folk music and soft rock of that time. A concert experience to sing along to and listen to - but also to reflect and rediscover both new and forgotten songs. Of course, all the hits are represented, such as "Morning has Broken", "Father and Son", "Wild World", "Moon Shadow", "Peace Train" or even "Young very Young". The large number of hits fills almost the entire concert evening - and yet lesser-known titles also find their place in the band's repertoire, rounding off the musical journey through time and bringing back old memories in a charming way.
