With Vocado we can not only look forward to an ensemble that comes from Sweden, but also to one of our first competition prize winners: The group from Dalarna won the 2nd Leipzig a cappella Award in 2008, four years after its formation. Warm, natural and with an enchanting sound, the sextet will now renew the bonds of those days with us. After various other awards (including the Swedish Choral Association's award as "Choir of the Year" in 2012) and numerous international concerts, Vocado can now celebrate its 20th anniversary. Their current program "Songs for the Asking" combines the music of Simon & Garfunkel with folk songs from their homeland and their own songs and arrangements.
