Don't be silly... they said. That was in 1992 and Thomas Hermanns not only laid the foundation for stand-up comedy in Germany, but he also opened his first Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg. That something big could come out of this became apparent 10 years later, when the second club opened in Berlin. The "Kleine Revue im Friedrichstadtpalast" became a Quatsch Comedy Club and quickly established itself as the mother house of German stand-up comedy.
As the “mother of German stand-up comedy”, Thomas Hermanns laid the foundation for many great comedians. Whether Carolin Kebekus, Ilka Bessin or Lisa Feller, whether Bülent Ceylan, Johann König or Felix Lohbrecht – they all have one thing in common: they either stood in front of the Q in the Quatsch Comedy Club or at our shows on television.
The basic principle is simple: At the Quatsch Comedy Club you experience stand-up comedy as it should be: uncensored, up close and above all live! Ideal for a visit with friends, family or colleagues.
