Kreuzberg is RAPK's home - and always will be. Victor and Tariq's lyrics are full of local pride and scenes from their area: the sun is shining, an old lady is stealing vegetables on Wrangelstrasse, the district is changing, only RAPK stays the same. 361 in the heart, the wide world in the head. RAPK's stylistic reference network extends far beyond the borders of Berlin and draws influences from the banlieues of Marseille and dry UK sounds. The guys balance stylishly between routine and experimentation - and executive producer Gusy orchestrates slice-of-life scenes just as sensitively as huge statement pieces.
In 2017, the first singles ("Lauf", "1. Mai") became hits from Bethaniendamm to Oppelner Straße, insider tips from Grunewald to Marzahn. With three EPs, RAPK garnered attention both online and offline, "ARAL" with Big Pat from BHZ was played at every shared apartment party in the capital, and the annual gigs in the Kreuzberg streets on May 1st were legendary. With three albums ("OBSKUR", "GPS", "Odyssee"), the trio established themselves in the German rap scene - and relied on organic growth. "Champions", released in 2023, perfected the unique vibe with which RAPK captured the big and small wonders of their world.
The music is passion, not a get-rich-quick scheme, not an over-bred product. It thrives on attention to detail, real emotions and experiences, constant high energy without any fillers. When RAPK step on stage, it's clear: now it's getting real. The reward is a close, authentic relationship with the audience, who can decide for themselves whether to open the circle to the mosh pit two, three or four times per song.
Sweat drips, basses tremble, the fans jump from one ecstasy to the next - shared joy is double. At eight stops in German-speaking countries, RAPK will prove once again that they are one of the best live acts on the scene. And: If you can't wait until next spring to get excited, with a bit of luck you'll catch the dress rehearsal on May 1st, as always in Kreuzberg - demolition is a tradition here, after all.
