Riverdance, the original of breathtaking Irish dance art, is coming back to Germany in autumn 2024! Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm of the audience this year, the tap dance virtuosos from Riverdance will continue to shake up stages all over Germany in 2024! Advance ticket sales for the sensational dance spectacle begin tomorrow.
This year, Riverdance celebrated its 25th anniversary, received standing ovations and - once again! - captured the hearts of the audience by storm. To date, the successful ensemble has enchanted over 30 million people around the world with its brilliant show. The international career of this unique formation from Ireland began a quarter of a century ago and since then they have set standards for unsurpassed tap dancing worldwide. In November and December 2024, the legendary Irish dance show will come live to Germany. In a total of 22 cities, Riverdance fans can look forward to pure tap dancing passion: In addition to the masterful skills of the dancers, whose rapid steps are so fast that the naked eye cannot follow them, the show impresses with spectacular lighting technology, LED walls, fantastic stage and costume design and, last but not least, first-class live music.
The show movingly tells of the multifaceted fate of the Irish people: of emigration, farewell, departure and return home. Riverdance also shows the interaction and meeting of different cultures. With perfect body control and at a rapid pace, the dancers present a spectacular performance of Irish passion and international dance styles such as flamenco, breakdance and Russian folklore. The traditional music played live, for whose composition by Bill Whelan Riverdance even received a Grammy in 1997, is characterized by depth, longing, but also hope and confidence. The original soundtrack was rearranged by Bill Whelan to mark the 25th anniversary, bringing the well-known, mesmerizing Riverdance music into the present day. The dancers bring the history and culture of Ireland to life with synchronized dance perfection and dreamy costumes!
