SMOKE BLOW are certainly one of the more influential local punk/hardcore bands and in their 7-album career they have released small blueprints of contemporary punk/rock music with records like "German Angst".
The Kiel band, which grew into a sextet over the course of their first four albums (and now often performs live with three guitarists), crossed over from the punk-adelic spiral nebula through hardcore, metal, rock'n'roll and punk in the very best sense and created sparkling album diamonds that have lost none of their energetic appeal to this day.
In 2011, the Kiel band decided not to record any new studio albums, to slow down considerably after their last "real" tour in 2012, and to completely abandon the album-promo-tour-album-promo-tour rhythm. Since then, the band has only played a few concerts and only performed on very few stages per year.
At the end of 2023, SMOKE BLOW surprised everyone with the second part of their studio live project “Demolition Room”, which included “Waking The Dead” and “Dopethrone”, the first new singles in over a decade.
In 2025, the band will stop off in Leipzig again after more than 10 years and play on their local stage, Conne Island!
