The Tallis Scholars - Konzert

The Tallis Scholars have been around for an intoxicating 50 years under the direction of Peter Phillips, and are indisputably one of the most influential vocal ensembles from Great Britain and our time. It took some time to bring them to Leipzig, but now they are finally giving their premiere
in a cappella! The ensemble has made a huge contribution to the development and recognition of sacred vocal music of the Renaissance and has always striven for an extraordinarily clear sound, which has become the trademark of the Tallis Scholars. In this concert, Peter Phillips' ensemble devotes itself in detail to the work of composers who have performed in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, including Palestrina, Morales and Carpentras - including their signature piece, Allegri's "Miserere". Definitely a must!
