To celebrate Modern Talking's 40th anniversary, Thomas Anders will surprise his fans in March 2026 with a spectacular German tour celebrating the legendary pop duo's unforgettable hits as well as other classics of the 80s. The THOMAS ANDERS "sings MODERN TALKING tour" is not only a loving homage to the music of one of the most popular and influential decades in music history, but also a premiere for the sensational re-recordings of the first six Modern Talking albums. This makes the artist the first of his kind to reinterpret his complete early work and tour with it!
Thomas Anders, one of the greatest icons of the 1980s to this day, celebrated major chart and touring success with his music as a solo artist after the final Modern Talking split in the summer of 2003. The 62-year-old full-blooded musician has made his way as a singer and entertainer, but the unmistakable Modern Talking sound remains immortal, and is still danced to around the world today. The cult duo has sold over 125 million records worldwide, and their music currently reaches more than 300 million listeners annually on streaming platforms. With their countless hits, they have filled dance floors everywhere – becoming the proverbial "platinum kings of the disco."
Thomas Anders, known as the voice of Modern Talking, has re-recorded the hits from his first six albums under the title "THOMAS ANDERS sings MODERN TALKING." The first release (label: STARS by Edel), "The 1st Album," immediately shot into the top 5 of the German album charts. These reinterpretations in modern Dolby Atmos sound paired with the iconic sounds of the 80s are his homage to his time spent with Dieter Bohlen and pay tribute to the great songs written by Bohlen and sung by Anders. Following the release of the first album on March 7, 2025, which immediately entered the charts, five more album releases will follow this year, featuring both old hits and new songs in the style of Modern Talking.
These re-recordings inspired Anders to embark on this tour, as they not only appeal to fans' nostalgia but also provide an opportunity to present the music in a modern context and engage new and old fans.
In his over 40-year musical career, Thomas Anders has captivated millions of fans in the entertainment and music industry. His concerts are an experience full of emotions and atmosphere, and his captivating charisma creates a stylish connection with his audience.
Of course, he will be presenting all of Modern Talking's hits during his tour - but also other timeless songs from his favorite decade that perfectly capture the flair of the 80s.
A special highlight of the show is the innovative use of modern technology: An impressive video wall presents the younger Thomas from the glorious Modern Talking era, AI-generated as the duet partner of the present-day Thomas. This unique performance combines past and present in a way that will amaze the audience.
