Otto Dix, a visionary of German art, made history with his distinctive works - his paintings are among the most impressive and provocative of the 20th century. Now his iconic motifs and figures come to life: scenes from the big city or the fascinating portrait of the dancer Anita Berber draw the audience directly into the pulsating cosmos of the 1920s. True to his maxim "I have to see everything", an intoxicating kaleidoscope of art, life and zeitgeist unfolds before the audience's eyes.
On a captivating journey through an imaginary museum, stage and screen merge as one scene builds to the next with dramatic intensity. The show caused a real hype at its premiere in Dix's hometown of Gera - sold out from day one to the final curtain!
