The rock and pop scene of the former GDR consisted by far not only of Puhdys, Silly and City \u2013 there were also many other top groups in various genres.<\/p>\n

In the field of electronic music, the former Federal Republic of Germany had TANGERINE DREAM, KLAUS SCHULZE and KRAFTWERK to offer, among others - the electronic band in the East, on the other hand, was called POND, was founded in 1978 by Wolfgang "Paule" Fuchs in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg and will celebrate its 45th stage anniversary in 2023\/24.<\/p>\n

They were the first group in the GDR to perform electronic instrumental music live, and their LPs 'Planetenwind' and 'Auf der Seidenstra\u00dfe' sold hundreds of thousands of copies. POND is the most successful and popular band of its kind in East Germany and is still active today.<\/p>\n

After the more classically oriented works 'Pictures at an Exhibition' (Mussorgsky adaptation), 'Paintings at a Vernissage' (Willi Sitte picture setting to music) and 'Edelweiss' (classical music & poetry), synthesizer artist and POND mastermind Wolfgang "Paule" Fuchs has now designed another ingenious, top-class multimedia program.<\/p>\n

The combination of special electronic instrumental music and impressive video projections - paired with breathtaking optical effects - is unique and will take the audience into a completely new world of experience. The performance will feature 'typical space music sounds' as well as well-known POND hits from the entire creative period of the Berlin electronic pioneer, but also new titles and a tribute block from the electronic pioneers: Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kraftwerk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
