Three shirt buttons open, a cleavage down to the solar plexus, well-cut threads on an athletic body - that is the first impression of Luis Ake, a contemporary artist who is surrounded by a lot of questions.<\/p>\n
Did he really build a machine that can create love? Is he, with his tie and signet ring, actually the nouveau riche son of a noble family from W\u00fcrttemberg, or does he steal his jackets from the cloakroom of a casino in western Munich? Or is this mysterious man with his masquerade perhaps the true dandy of our present day?<\/p>\n
When he gets out of his vintage Porsche, with an expression of tormented sadness on his face, at least one thing is clear:

His full lips, narrow hips and lost look speak the poetry of his pop music, which is characterized by exaggeration and sentimental affirmation. His poses of glamorous masculinity, from gold chains to ties, which are immediately broken by his never-hidden vulnerability, which can be heard in each of his songs, prove the phrase that pop is about more than just music. His theme is love -
\nThis is also the title of his second album, "Liebe". Like the first album, "Bitte lass mich frei", it was released on the Berlin label Mansions & Millions and was praised by representatives of the press, such as Rolling Stone and Spiegel, both as a contemporary interpretation of German pop music and as a new hit song - there is a consensus that Luis Ake's first two albums are considered to be the forerunners of the Neue Neue Deutsche Welle.
\nLuis Ake started playing guitar excessively in his childhood bedroom in Stuttgart, which attracted international attention early on. Travis Scott, Kenrick Llamar and Kanye West used samples from the then 19-year-old for their songs (e.g. \u00bbgoosebumps\u00ab).
\nBut since then, the young talent has become a man, an artist who is not only known for his expressive stage show (among others, the Belarusian band \u00bbMolchat Doma\u00ab hired Ake for the opening act of their entire European tour, \u00bbEdwin Rosen\u00ab took him with him to his first concerts and the Frankfurt Schirn invited Ake to a concert in their museum rooms), but Ake is also in demand as a remixer. Acts that could hardly be more different, such as \u00bbEdwin Rosen\u00ab, \u00bbSal\u00f3\u00ab and most recently \u00bbRoy Bianco & the Abbrunzati Boys\u00ab asked Ake to mix their songs. Together with \u00bbDANZIGER99\u00ab Ake wrote the song \u00bbregen\u00ab, which went viral.<\/p>\n
Luis Akes\u2019 new EP \u201cHorse Trance \u2013 Melodies of Freedom\u201d will be released in November.
\nWith 10 new songs, Ake founded the music genre of \u201cHorse Trance\u201d.
\nThis is music that not only has to be seen as a new interpretation of trance, D'n'B, house and electro, but remains pop despite its danceability.
