Bei der Kolonisation des Eisplaneten Nilfheim hat Mickey 17 (Robert Pattinson) die Aufgabe der Expeditionscrew zu helfen \u2013 vor allem bei den Jobs, die gef\u00e4hrlich sind. Denn Mickey hat einen Vorteil: Er ist ersetzbar. Wenn er stirbt, wird einfach der n\u00e4chste Klon produziert, der nicht nur seine bisherigen Erinnerungen hat, sondern auch die Arbeit nahtlos fortsetzen kann.
