What distinguishes what is still the ultimate blues-boogie band is their credible approach to the Spirit of '68, whose maxims of love and peace they uphold with devotion without seeming silly, especially as they continue to make their audience's ears flap. The powerful sound that original drummer Fito de la Parra and his young-at-heart band create is still hot enough to command respect from any up-and-coming newcomer, because where other veteran combos enter the race as a spare parts warehouse, Heat still consists of the core the same musicians who caused a sensation during the heyday of classic rock.<\/p>\n

Parallel to the Beatles, they toured the country and also played in the iconic Hamburg Starclub. The highly acclaimed performance of the then young band in 1969 at the Woodstock festival will never be forgotten. The quartet played its way into the hearts of the audience, especially with the ten-minute encore \u201cI'm Going Home\u201d.<\/p>\n
