\u00a0For more than 15 years he has been writing songs like no one else in this country. Maecke's music is sometimes profound and sometimes silly, sometimes mega-meta and sometimes completely disarmingly vulnerable. Most of the time it is all of these things at the same time. He is a rapper, (platinum) producer, singer, actor, graphic designer and videographer. Together with Bartek he invented "RapUp Comedy". With his band "Die Orsons" he painted hip hop in a concrete grey phase and opened a new door for German rap. As a solo artist he wrote the blueprint for German "indie rap" with "KIDS" and every now and then he has been giving a secret guitar concert for about 10 years.<\/p>\n

Not much is known about these mysterious concerts. They were never recorded and the songs from them were never released. Often they were not even announced and only made known through word of mouth, or Maeckes would go on tour with them and sell out within an hour. The basic idea behind these concerts was to reduce them to the essentials. At some point around 2010, Maeckes moved to Vienna with no job, no contacts and almost no possessions. He rented a room and reduced his music. In the end, all that was left in his head was the piano and guitar. He couldn't play the piano. But he had learned the guitar for 6 months when he was 13. With a handful of chords, he started writing songs and tried his hand at mini-performances in front of cabaret artists on small Austrian stages. Over time, Maeckes can play the guitar a little better, but he is not yet really confident in himself. At least not confident enough to release the songs for eternity. Instead, he even took a tattoo artist with him on guitar tours, who tattoos visitors at the merch stand so that they can take something lasting from the guitar tours.<\/p>\n
