In her private life, Daphne de Luxe is completely different. In contrast to her extremely tough, brash and quick-witted stage counterpart, the private Daphne is sometimes rather conservative. No glamor and no “de luxe make-up”, but gardening, chickens and growing old vegetables keep the “XL-Barbie” of the German comedy scene busy when she is not on stage. The blonde power woman has a wide range of interests and her loyal fans know that she could have also become a successful zoologist. The existing expertise is astonishing. And so it was only a matter of time before these topics ended up in one of their stage programs.

“Species-appropriate – an animal-humane program” is the title of the new program and it does what it promises. Daphne de Luxe humorously draws parallels between humans and animals, explains why men like to look into women's cleavage and shares surprising insights with her audience.

“Species-appropriate” also stands for the amusing observations about how people live together and how it changes. The humorist takes a critical look at our consumption and eating habits, but of course never forgets to enjoy without regret. New songs and anecdotes, lots of humor and self-irony ensure mercilessly good entertainment. The entertainer, often described as a likeable “stunner,” intentionally chats ambiguously about her view of things and gives her viewers the feeling that they are listening to her best friend's amusing stories. An evening could hardly be more entertaining.
