A fairy tale from present-day Germany and at the same time the true story of a family in which a father is inspired by his daughter's wish and four people go on the journey of their lives.
When their daughter Nina is diagnosed with a fine motor and coordination disorder, Vera and Wolf's family life model is fundamentally shaken. Nina's subsequent wish for a million minutes that they could spend together doing only nice things opens her father's eyes. Perhaps a million minutes are more valuable than a successful career. So the family sets off on the journey of a lifetime for 694 days - a million minutes. They not only look for alternative life models, but also question learned thought patterns, traditions and norms.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Wolf Küper.
