Und wie kann einem der Blick in die Nachrichten angesichts der Weltlage und der direkt vor der eigenen Haustür auch nicht die Stimmung in den Keller rauschen? Die miese Laune lässt sich nicht mal im Alkohol ertränken, denn auch die Kneipen sterben links und rechts am laufenden Band. Wie soll man aus diesem Loch wieder rauskommen, vielleicht sogar wieder glücklich werden? Diese nicht unbedingt kleine Frage stellt sich schließlich auch Horst Schlämmer. Und er ist gewillt, Antworten zu finden. Also macht er sich auf auf eine Reise quer durch Deutschland – von Süd bis Nord, per Auto, Schiff der gezwungenermaßen mit dem leidigen Schienenersatzverkehr. Nicht immer scheint es so, als ob seine Mission wirklich gut enden könnte. Aber Schlämmer lässt nicht locker...
