Biography - Stefanie Hertel

Stefanie Anke Hertel (born 25 July 1979 in Oelsnitz/Vogtl.) is a German singer of popular pop music and presenter.

Life

Stefanie Hertel was already on stage with her father Eberhard Hertel in Falkenstein in Vogtland at the age of four. At the age of six she made her first television appearance with the teddy bear yodeler in the show "Oberhofer Bauernmarkt" on GDR television. After her appearance with Carolin Reiber in the show "Volkstümliche Hitparade" in 1990, the media manager Hans Rudolf Beierlein (montana music publisher) signed Stefanie Hertel. The first meeting between Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross, who was also under contract with Beierlein, took place at the preliminary round of the Grand Prix der Volksmusik in Hof.

At the final of the 1991 Grand Prix der Volksmusik she took fifth place with the song So a Stückerl heile Welt and won the 1992 Grand Prix der Volksmusik with the song Über jeder Bacherl geht a Brückerl (written by Jean Frankfurter and Irma Holder). In September 1992 she was awarded the “Krone der Volksmusik” by RTL as the “Most Successful Young Singer”.

In 1994, Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross became a couple. They both recorded their first Christmas album together, "Weihnachten mit Dir". In 1995, she and her partner Stefan Mross took part in the 1995 Grand Prix der Volksmusik for the third time. They came second with Ein Lied für jeden Sonnenstrahl. After that, the two often performed together, but also continued to perform as soloists. In 1996, Stefanie Hertel completed her secondary school diploma.

In 1997, the ARD dedicated a TV special to Stefanie Hertel called "Songs to Fall in Love With" from the Europapark in Rust for her 18th birthday. An album of the same name and a VHS cassette (now also available as a DVD) were also released.

On October 17, 2001, their daughter was born, on September 6, 2006, Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross married in Florida, and on November 5, 2006, the church wedding took place in a chapel in Hafling (South Tyrol).

A new duet album was planned for autumn 2007. A DVD by Stefanie Hertel and Stefan Mross with TV appearances and duet songs was also due to be released. These projects were put on hold for the time being due to time constraints. Instead, a new album by Stefanie Hertel entitled Stronger than Freedom was released on February 8, 2008. In 2009, Stefanie Hertel will celebrate her 25th stage anniversary with a major tour of Germany together with her husband Stefan Mross.

After almost 10 years with the record company Koch Universal, Stefanie Hertel released a new studio album in 2010 with the title Das fühlt sich gut an on her new record company Sony Music "Ariola". The album was again produced by Jean Frankfurter. Lyrics were written by the young author Tobias Reitz and Bernd Meinunger. The TV premiere was on March 20, 2010 at the Spring Festival of Folk Music in Riesa with the song Das Paradies in deinen Augen.
