The 1980s were the time when hundreds of people often flocked to the concerts of singer-songwriters, and thousands to Gerhard Schöne's open-air concerts with the group Lart de passage. The Island of Youth in Berlin was threatened with closure due to overcrowding at his 1988 concert. "You just haven't tried it yet" was the motto and the connection between the audience and the podium. Beautiful classics such as "Wellensittich und Spatzen", "Die Alte auf der Schaukel", "Fantasia", "Blues im Blut" and "Mit dem Gesicht zum Volke" became catchy tunes and waves of encouragement even without radio rotation. Gerhard Schöne's popularity remained unbroken even after 1990, as evidenced by over twenty new albums, some of which won the German Record Critics' Prize, and various concert programs. Far too rarely, however, did the singer-songwriter have his entire repertoire in view and on the program. Now, musical relief has been provided for a few concerts.
The musicians are already ready to play: Stefan Kling (piano) – Eudinho Soares (guitar, cavaquinho) – Javier Reyes (drums, percussion) – Guilherme Castro (bass) and as a welcome and heard guest: Ralf Benschu (saxophone, clarinet).
