Johann König was never actually interested in being on stage. He wanted to be a teacher.
Physical education teacher for biology and general knowledge. That was the plan. But the plan didn't work. After 19 semesters, the audience forced him with their affection and their money to devote himself entirely to humor. And so he went straight down the wrong path of sophisticated evening entertainment from which there is no turning back. And today? Today he laughs about it - just as the audience laughs at him.
The guy, the depressive mood cannon, is now fifty years old.
Many people look younger at 50 but feel older. With the king, it's the exact opposite. Many people think they have to change everything at 50. Or change everything to gender. Johann changes everything AND stays true to himself. Many people start making eggnog at this age. Johann has chickens.
In his new program, he poses the pressing questions of our time: Does the house really get smaller when the children grow up? How do you gender-neutralize an abandoned women's bicycle? Does the speed limit also apply to tissues? And is it still OK to say "what is one allowed to say?"
In the long run, the best plans are those that are short term. The plan should be to stop making plans. Except for a comprehensive tour plan, of course.
