The Keimzeit Acoustic Quintet, Keimzeit's small but fine acoustic project, is finally back on stage - and is adding another six new songs to the 2019 studio album "Albertine". They are something like a sounding serial novel and form the new framework for concerts. All six previously unreleased songs once again deal with places and protagonists of the novel "In Search of Lost Time" by Marcel Proust, whose 150th birthday was in July 2022. Of course, the Keimzeit classics are not missing either.
The members of the Keimzeit Acoustic Quintet in 2022 are Norbert Leisegang (guitar and vocals), Norbert's brother Hartmut Leisegang (bass), Martin Weigel (guitar, banjo, piano and vocals), Gabriele Kienast (violin, vocals), Christian Schwechheimer (drums, vocals). The quintet's acoustic sound is rooted in the sound world of the 60s and 70s. Everything is handmade and dialectically designed to be wonderfully modern and anachronistic. But what is it that captivates the songwriter Norbert Leisegang with such intensity and perseverance in the novel? "Dark corners of our human nature are brightly illuminated by the writer. Again and again, when I read, I want to pick up the guitar to create new songs."
