Information about the event

Since the beginning of her career, multiple Grammy award winner Melissa Etheridge has had a particularly close bond with her audience, who love her for countless hits such as "I'm The Only One", "I Want To Come Over", "Bring Me Some Water" as well as her brutally open lyrics and her political and social commitment. After the release of her documentary "I'm Not Broken" and the accompanying live album, the songwriter with the smoky voice, who is one of America's most popular artists, will be touring Germany with her band in summer 2025.

Since the release of her acclaimed debut album in 1988, Melissa Etheridge has taken the American rock scene by storm with songs such as "Bring Me Some Water," "No Souvenirs," and "Ain't It Heavy." Her fourth album, "Yes I Am," and the two big hits "I'm The Only One" and "Come to My Window," marked her commercial and artistic breakthrough in 1993. She received a Grammy for both "Ain't It Heavy" and "Come To My Window." In 1995, her fifth album, "Your Little Secret," followed, which included another hit single, "I Want to Come Over." With 15 albums to date, this list could be extended indefinitely.

Known for her brutally honest lyrics and her raw, smoky voice, Etheridge has established herself over more than three decades as one of America's most popular singers who doesn't shy away from uncomfortable truths. She revealed her sexual orientation right at the beginning of her career and shared her breast cancer diagnosis with her audience in October 2004, who love her all the more for this openness and her social commitment, such as her Etheridge Foundation, which she launched in 2020.

In 2024, Melissa Etheridge released "I'm Not Broken," a two-part documentary series (on Paramount+) and an accompanying live album recorded on the grounds of the Topeka Correctional Facility. This follows her dialogue with the inmates of the TCF, which ultimately culminates in a live concert on site with raw and rousing versions of specially curated fan favorites. This documentary once again clearly shows what her fans have long known: On stage, Melissa Etheridge is a real force of nature whose songs touch people deeply and accompany them through their lives.
