Olaf Schubert also only has one thing - but a big one - the world itself! That's why he tries to change the world, to reshape it. "As far as I'm concerned, it can stay round..." he says, but apart from that, there is a need for action.
And indeed, the world is bad, but seeing Olaf take care of it makes it a lot more bearable. That's not a small amount, and Olaf has a lot to say to us. It would be easy for him to denounce injustices in two hours, but he doesn't have the time.
He also has to sing. Songs about social cuts, eroticism and pole vaulting. The power of his singing, magnified by the metaphysical effect of his diamond-shaped sweater vest, affects even the most hardened of people.
